Associate (East Asia, Japan)

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity Associate to join our team and support our private equity investment activities.

You will be responsible for sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting the transaction execution process.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and have a strong understanding of finance and investment principles.

Responsibilities:

Conduct market and industry research to identify potential investment opportunities.
Analyze financial statements, valuation models, and other investment metrics to evaluate the attractiveness of potential investments.
Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials to support investment recommendations.
Participate in due diligence efforts, including reviewing legal documents, conducting financial analysis, and identifying key risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to support the transaction execution process, including deal structuring and negotiation.
Monitor portfolio companies and perform periodic valuations and analysis.
Support fundraising efforts and investor relations activities.
Provide analytical support and insight to senior investment professionals.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related field
Strong understanding of finance and investment principles, including financial modeling and valuation techniques
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Experience with investment analysis software and systems, such as Capital IQ or Bloomberg
Ability to work long hours and travel as needed
Experience in a similar industry (SEO, Digital Agency, EOR) or field is a plus
